Simplicity
The whole of the Tilt-Dam design is based on simplicity.
- Use of gravity :-
(i) To mobilise effortlessly, a balanced tilting slab using
counterweights
(ii) Through water pressure to keep all seals tightly closed
(iii) Water pressure keeps dam upright
- Defence can be mobilised by unskilled labour. If two
people can fill a sandbag then, equally, two can complete a
Tilt-Dam flood defence securely
