Testing of Seals

The KEEP 2 Programme
Tilt-Dam has entered into a "Knowledge Partners - East of England" agreement known as a "KEEP 2". The agreement is a joint venture between Tilt-Dam and the University of Hertfordshire (UH) whereby flexible University - Employer partnerships are formed to aid research by small enterprises (SMEs) funded by the East of England Development Agency and Tilt-Dam on a 50-50 basis.

UH has particular skills in CAD development of seals in the automotive industry and the present project is looking at the performance of the sealing arrangements on our wet test rig at Lea Marston. The aim is to improve the sealing arrangements under a wide range of environmental conditions using variations of material properties and shapes for the seals currently used.
